Semen Analysis Is A Revealing Primary Step

Semen analysis can reveal much about the amount and quality of sperm a man produces. It will establish the number of sperm that is produced as well as the shape and motility. Motility is the number of sperm that can move forward normally. If a couple is trying for pregnancy and they are having trouble with conception an analysis is usually performed to determine if the man has a reproductive problem that may be causing infertility. Male infertility is cause for conception issues in about thirty-five percent of the cases. This is a relatively routine way to begin fertility testing in a couple. If the analysis discloses that the male’s fertility is not in question then fertility testing becomes centered on the female.
A male fertility test can also be conducted to test the efficacy of a vasectomy and determine if it was successful.
